A simple node group for detecting edges in Eevee and Cycles. 2.93+ It requires you to have Ambient Occlusion turned on for use in Eevee.
The shader was originally made for Eevee but works well with Cycles too.
Big thanks to Floatharr and Charly Barrera for coming up with the base node setup I used in this shader.

Additions
- Unlocked "Thickness" value to allow for ranges between -100 to 100.
- Added a "Custom Distance" value slider that disables the automatic distance calculation when below or above 0 and chooses whatever distance the user inputs instead.
- Added a normal input.
- Checked and approved compatibility with Cycles.
.blend with node group in it for appending.
